It will help you create a tree based on the information you already have. It also allows other relatives to link into your site to add what they know and you don't. Geni has put us in touch with an entire portion of our family that we never knew existed in England. It also allows you to link this information to Facebook if you so choose. WARNING: if you have careless relatives that won't read what you have already done, they can create relatives that are the same by simple changes such as: if your grandmother's name was Lillian, but someone else in the family called her Lil, you would end up with two relatives that are actually only one relative as they did not bother to see that you already listed that person by their full and proper name. It happened to us! They also have a pay portion where you may do searches for other trees that look like yours.
